Welcome to Cancer Biome and Targeted Therapy (CBTT), a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to understanding cancer as a dynamic biological ecosystem and translating these insights into precision and targeted therapeutic strategies.

The journal focuses on interactions among tumor cells, immune and stromal cells, microbial communities, metabolic networks, and therapeutic interventions that shape cancer progression, immune regulation, metastasis, treatment response, and therapeutic resistance.

CBTT publishes original research, reviews, and translational studies focused on cancer biology, the tumor microenvironment, cancer immunology, microbiome research, molecular oncology, precision oncology, and targeted therapeutics.

Aims and Scope

Cancer Biome and Targeted Therapy (CBTT) publishes high-quality original research, reviews, and translational studies at the intersection of cancer biology, tumor ecosystems, immunology, microbiology, and precision oncology.

Areas of Interest

• Tumor Ecosystems and Microenvironment: tumor–stroma interactions, cancer-associated fibroblasts, tumor-associated macrophages, myeloid and lymphoid populations, extracellular matrix, hypoxia, angiogenesis, metastasis, and tumor immune microenvironments.

• Cancer Immunology and Immune Metabolism: tumor–immune interactions, immune checkpoints, cellular metabolism, immunosuppression, immune-cell function, immunotherapy response and resistance, and strategies for remodeling the tumor immune ecosystem.

• Cancer Microbiome and Microbial Interactions: tumor-associated and gut microbiomes, bacterial, fungal, viral, and other microbial influences on carcinogenesis, tumor progression, immunity, metabolism, therapeutic response, and resistance.

• Molecular Mechanisms and Therapeutic Resistance: oncogenic signaling, epigenetic regulation, cell-death pathways, metabolic vulnerabilities, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, DNA-damage responses, drug resistance, and mechanisms underlying treatment failure.

• Precision, Targeted, and Translational Oncology: targeted therapies, antibody–drug conjugates, cellular therapies, immunotherapies, gene and genome editing, patient-derived organoids, cancer models, biomarkers, computational approaches, drug screening, and precision treatment strategies.

CBTT welcomes interdisciplinary studies integrating molecular, cellular, computational, microbial, immunological, and translational approaches to address clinically relevant questions in cancer.

Cancer Biome and Targeted Therapy does not charge submission fees, page charges, or article processing charges (APCs). All accepted articles are published open access, at no cost to authors.
